Someone was sitting on my chest.

I was lying on the floor in my work office, trying to breathe calmly. There were several hours left in the workday, but for me, it was time to go home. The stress was too high, and I realized that the pressure on my chest was a signal that "enough is enough, you need to rest now."

An hour later the same day, I was in the emergency room getting my heart examined. I was on sick leave for two months due to work-related stress.

This became a turning point for me in my work life.

I realized I needed to change something.

I left my 9-5 job.

You only live once.

I quit my permanent position and started working part-time as a social worker for the municipality.

My interest in stocks grew, and after saving some money to manage my capital, I stopped working part-time. I began to work full-time buying and selling stocks on the Nordic stock exchange.

Five years, 4 IVF treatments, two childbirths and X number of day trades later, I realized that it was hard to combine active stock trading with two young children who need love.

You only live once.

I stopped day and swing trading and started to manage some of my capital passively instead.

I returned to my roots and took a 50% position as a school counselor.

At the same time, I started the company Lifeboost Sverige to help other moms change their work lives and everyday finances and live their lives more on their own terms. Just as I would have wanted to be helped when it felt like someone was sitting on my chest.

This has been the most rewarding work life I've had so far in my life. A good mix of everything that I feel good about and that I can share with others.

Why am I telling you this?

Because you only live once.
